People pattern my fabric
Photographs of people, mirrored and repeated until the individual dissolves into ornament. A face becomes a diamond. A shoulder becomes a border. What starts as portrait becomes pattern.
I printed them onto fabric because fabric remembers what touches it. And because that's how people actually shape us — not all at once, but repeated, mirrored, layered, until the shape of who we are is made from everyone who's pressed against us.
I am woven from everyone who's patterned me.
